The American Cheese Society (ACS) has announced that it will bring its annual Conference & Competition to California for the first time in more than 10 years. With the theme of “Celebrating the American Cheese Plate,” the 31st Annual ACS Conference & Competition takes place July 29-Aug. 1, 2014, at the Sacramento Convention Center and at various locations around the state capital. Carol Christison, Longtime IDDBA President, Remembered
Carol L. Christison, longtime International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) president, died March 4, 2014. Christison replaced retiring International Cheese & Deli Association executive director, Willard T. Reese, in December of 1982 at the Madison, Wis.-based organization, and over the next 31 years, built the association into the leading organization in the industry. The Association later became known as the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association.
