Fine Cheese & Charcuterie Summer Fancy Food Show '19 Preview

I have always said that presentation is everything.  It seems that a lot of the innovation in the cheese business these days is focused on packaging.  As you move around the Summer Fancy Food Show this year, you will see a lot of new antipasto plates and snack packs that are designed to make it easy for the novices to entertain with cheese or simply enjoy a good meal for themselves.  Many companies have even incorporated nuts, fruits, crackers and cured meats of all kinds together with an appropriate cheese to create the perfect presentation right out of the box as they say.  This seems like a clever way to introduce a new audience to the joy of eating cheese further enhanced with complimentary accoutrements.  I hope we continue to see new developments in this area because it does hold promise for indoctrinating a new generation to the pleasure of the cheese case.
